Last week, we concluded Mindiez Financial Literacy Week at Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda — a transformative learning experience for over 50 students at our Community Center in Kayunga District.
Mindiez, a cutting-edge blended learning platform, introduces financial education in primary and secondary schools through interactive classroom materials, apps, and games. It’s a hands-on, fun, and deeply engaging way for students to learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and managing money wisely.
As part of this pilot in Africa, Ba Nga Afayo was honored to be one of the few organizations selected to test and deliver the program.
And the results speak for themselves:
An incredible 98% increase in financial literacy knowledge was recorded through our endline survey.

This marks a significant achievement, not only for the learners but also for us as an organization. At Ba Nga Afayo, our cradle-to-career model emphasizes long-term impact — and entrepreneurship and employment are the ultimate goals for every child and youth who passes through our programs.
Financial literacy is a vital step toward that future.
We’re deeply proud of our students’ progress and grateful to Mindiez for this innovative partnership. Together, we are laying the foundation for a generation of financially empowered, self-reliant youth ready to thrive in the real world.
