At Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda, the work we do is literally life-saving. With the spread of COVID-19, we have no choice but to PRAY and to be there for our most at-risk beneficiaries — the orphaned children, children in poverty growing up in unsafe homes or being raised by their elderly grandparents.

Our beneficiaries need us, not in six weeks or six months, but right now.

We are taking serious precautions to safeguard the children in our care and prioritize the health and safety of our staff and beneficiaries in the communities where we work in Uganda.

BaNgaAfayo has always been about engaging people and showing them to give where there is the most need. For most of you this means child sponsorship, providing food to the hungry, providing shelter and medical care to the homeless children in our care.

However, given the health and economic impacts of COVID-19, it has become so hard to raise funds for our day to day activities. As a result, this crisis threatens our ability to serve the 52 children directly under our care and others in the community who rely on BaNgaAfayo every day to survive, and to thrive.

Without your support and prayer, we won’t be able to raise the funds needed to keep our children safe, and run our core programming. That means we need you — now, more than ever. Now is the time for the global BaNgaAfayo community to unite and deliver on our commitment to help those in dire need. We will not let them down.
