There are times when the stress of life’s circumstances becomes overwhelming. Our Adopt A Family program provides assistance throughout the year to families in the community where we work who are in need of extra support with food, clothing or other ancillary expenses. Through support from corporate and individual sponsors we are able to provide some relief from financial and emotional strain.
Well, four months down the road Mr. Alphonse and family is still waiting for someone to stand with them and help reconstruct their house for just $2000.
The house was destroyed by heavy rains that forced them to vacate their home and stay with us at our orphanage. We are already out of space giving shelter to more children than we can possibly manage.
